OnePlus Nord OxygenOS update adds Bimoji AOD and more

OnePlus has introduced a new OxygenOS update for the original Nord smartphone, bringing the software version to OxygenOS The update includes a couple of good features. Such as new options for the Always-on-display (AOD), along with the August Android security patch and more.

According to company, the OxygenOS update for OnePlus Nord is only an gradual update. It comes in three versions according to the region:

  • North America:
  • India:
  • Europe:​

The changelog is as follows:

  • System
    • Updated Android security patch to 2021.08
    • Improved system stability
  • Ambient Display
    • Newly added the screenshot feature for AOD
    • Newly added Bitmoji AOD, co-designed with Snapchat, which will liven up the ambient display with your personal Bitmoji avatar. Your avatar will update throughout the day based on your activity and things happening around you ( Path: Settings – Customization – Clock on ambient display – Bitmoji )

However, as is with every update, the rollout will be gradual. And OnePlus advises users to make sure that their phone’s battery level is above 30% and it has a minimum of 3GB of available storage space before flashing the build.
