MediaTek has upgrade Helio G96 and Helio G88 to Helio G95 and Helio G85 SoCs respectively in the G series. The Helio G96 SoC has support for 120Hz displays with up to Full HD+ resolution, support for up to 108MP cameras, has Cat-13 4G LTE modem, dual 4G SIM and VoLTE and ViLTE services and has Intelligent Resource Management Engine and Networking Engine. It features two powerful ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked up to 2.05GHz and six power efficient Cortex-A55 cores along with ARM Mali-G57 GPU.

The Octa-Core CPU features two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs operating at up to 2.0GHz and six power efficient Cortex-A55 cores along with ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
These feature HyperEngine 2.0 Lite that includes Intelligent Resource Management Engine: and Networking Engine. MediaTek Helio G96 & Helio G88 are expected to power next generation smartphones launching later this year.
