Jio and MediaTek have announced the Gaming Masters 2.0 BGMI Esports event. 12.5 lakh prize pool

Gaming Masters 2.0

Reliance Jio has partnered with MediaTek to launch the ‘Gaming Masters 2.0’ e-sports tournament in India. The tournament, which will be open to all players in India. And also will be played on the latest Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) game, with a total prize pool of Rs. 12.5 lakhs.

Furthermore, this comes after a successful run in the first season with ‘Free Fire’ earlier this year. Which attracted over 14,000 team registrations. Additionally, this is available to both Jio and non-Jio users through the JioGames platform.

There will be a ‘Play and Win Daily’ series in which players will be able to participate every day, receive prizes and even have the opportunity to compete with professional teams for the final championship.

Registrations for the  Gaming Masters 2.0 started today, November 12th on jiogames.com and will continue till November 21st.
  • The tournament will feature a total of four qualifiers. And each qualifier will have three rounds. Also, five teams from each qualifier qualifying for the ‘Road to Finale’ on December 21.
  • Round 1 will consist of 20 teams playing in each match. Who will play a set of 2 maps. Scores from both maps will be calculated. The winning team will qualify for Round 2 based on the scoring system.
  • Round 2 will consist of 16 teams in each match, who will play a set of two maps. Scores will be drawn from both maps and the top five teams from each lobby will qualify for the next round.
  • Round 3 will have 20 teams playing a set of 5 maps. Scores will be drawn from all maps and the top five teams will qualify for the Road to Finals. Players will use their own online accounts and gamer tags / ids. There is no participation fee.
