The Department of Telecommunication has authorized Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), to conduct 5G trials in the country.

Moreover, these company will engage with the original equipment manufacturers and technology providers. Such as Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung and Development of Telematics (C-DoT).
However, Reliance Jio Infocomm has established that it will be organize inquiry using its own original technology. Which it had announced at its 43rd AGM last year in 2020.
Moreover, the Ministry of Communications also said that the duration of the lawsuit is for six months. Which include a time period of 2 months for the setting up of the equipment. The authorization have been given by DoT as per the priorities and technology partners recognize by TSPs themselves, said the ministry.

Experimental spectrum is being give in various bands such as
The mid-band (3.2 GHz to 3.67 GHz)
Millimetre wave band (24.25 GHz to 28.5 GHz)
Sub-Gigahertz band (700 GHz)
The service providers will also be permit to use their existing spectrum. Such as a (800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2500 MHz) to conduct 5G trials.
On the other hand, TSPs are also encourag to operates lawsuit using 5Gi technology. Which has been enlarge by the IIT Madras’ Centre of Excellence in Wireless Technology (CEWiT), and the IIT Hyderabad.
Additionally, the company also said that TSP will have to conduct trials in rural. And also semi-urban settings. However, with this settings benefit of 5G technology proliferates across the country and is not confine only to urban areas. Trials will be on non-commercial basis. The data caused during the trials shall be keep in India. TSPs are also expect to facilitate the testing of the indigenously developed use cases and equipment as part of the trials.With the start of 5G experiments in the country, we can expect the 5G range auction to begin in near future.
