AMD introduced their latest RDNA 2-based Radeon RX 6000 series mobile GPUs at Computex 2021. With the latest GPU, ASUS has also exposed their first laptops to feature these GPUs paired with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, called the Strix G15 and G17 Advantage Edition gaming laptops. ASUS ROG Strix G15 and G17 laptops Advantage Edition gaming laptops are the first two laptops in the world to feature AMD’s highest-end mobile CPU and highest-end mobile GPU in one machine.
Moreover, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX is built with an 8-core, 16-thread processor based on the Zen 3 architecture. And it will operate on up to 90W of sustained power when under load, thanks to upgraded cooling ability on these laptops.
For the GPU, ASUS ROG Strix G15 and G17 are provides with the showcase Radeon RX 6800M GPU, which is based on their new RDNA 2 architecture. It has come hold up with many major technologies, such as AMD SmartShift and Smart Access Memory technologies.

Furthermore with SmartShift, the laptop can actively send the vital power to the CPU and GPU based on the load. However, this will make certain that the user gets maximum performance at all times. And also AMD claims that this boosts performance by up to 15%.
ASUS will featured an two display option, either a Full HD 300Hz panel with a 3ms response time. And second one is WQHD 165Hz panel that features 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Both displays will also hold up to AMD FreeSync Premium technology.
Last but not least in regard to battery, they will both have 90Whr cells inside. Which according to AMD, will provide 11.4 hours of video playback. They also support fast charging, up to 50% charge in just 30 mins.
Price and Availability
ASUS has not announced the pricing or sale date. But these are said to start at €1,799 (US$ 2193 / Rs. 1,60,445 approx.) in Germany.
