Airtel Illustrate Cloud Gaming on its 5G network

Airtel today announced that it has successfully conducted India’s first cloud gaming session in a 5G environments. It was organized in Manesar (Guragon) as part of the ongoing 5G trails using spectrum allotted by the Department of Telecom (DoT). For the 5G Cloud Gaming Demo, Airtel partnered with leading Indian players Mortal (Naman Mathur) and Mamba (Salman Ahmad). Also read : Top 10 Best Security Camera For Your Home In 2021

However, Airtel said it has used the gaming technology platform from BlackNet for the test on OnePlus 9R smartphones connected to the 3500 MHz high-capacity spectrum band. The 5G test network delivers speeds in excess of 1 Gbps and delays in the range of 10 milliseconds. Sprint racing challenge on Asphalt was unveil for Mortal and Mamba. Cloud Gaming allows users to stream and play games in real time without having to download or invest in gaming hardware. With the advent of 5G networks, cloud gaming is expect to become the new normal. As users will be able to enjoy high-end consoles like gaming experience on smartphones and tablets while on the go.

Earlier this year, Airtel successfully showcased 5G services on live 4G network in Hyderabad. It is also conducting 5G trials in several cities across India. Through the trial spectrum allotted by the Department of Telecom and validating and using the technology. Airtel has partnered with Ericsson and Nokia for these trials. Airtel is also leading the O-RAN Alliance initiatives in India to create 5G solutions. It has announced partnerships with Tata Group, QualcommIntel, Mavenir and Altiostar.
